Otchie is the former Hotel Manager of Hotel am Brillantengrund in Vienna, where she lives with her family. She owns the new Biolight Medium Bucket in Starling.
I am proud to be Filipino and find it so cool that QWSTION is showcasing a product that originates in the Philippines, on the global stage.
In 2016 we opened Qwstion Store Vienna, just around the corner from Hotel am Brillantengrund. This quickly became the "home away from home" for the members of the question team visiting from Zürich. Being the manager of "Brilli" for several years, Otchie always greeted us with a smile – and vice versa she started hanging out with our Vienna Store Team. Over the years she has become a close friend and frequent user of our products, always giving valuable feedback. We shared even more values once we launched Bananatex®, our banana fibre material with proud Philippine roots – just like Otchie.
WHAT LED YOU TO WHAT YOU DO TODAY?
It kind of just happened because I went with the flow of my life! I came to Vienna 15 years ago while studying International Tourism in Manila. Then I got pregnant with my first son, and the project of having a hotel born soon after.
WHAT DO YOU CARE ABOUT?
Me, myself and I (hahaha), my family and friends. I am very picky about who I let into my life and I do take care of my relationship with friends and family.
HOW DO YOU ADDRESS THIS IN YOUR WORK?
I love meeting new people and letting myself be inspired by their stories.
WHAT DO YOU LOOK FOR IN THE THINGS YOU BUY?
Quality and timeless style. It doesn’t matter if it’s clothes or accessories, I like stuff that I can wear casually and for all occasions.
