FOR BLACK FRIDAY

Let’s admit it: the sweet feeling of getting a good deal is hard to resist: it skews our decision-making, and pushes us to buy things we don’t really need – which is taking a bitter toll on our planet.
Of course it makes us at QWSTION happy (and pays our bills) if you choose to buy our products. Doesn't it feel good to know we can all have a positive impact through the choices we make? We believe purchases are better when considered and driven by a real need, not an opportunity.
And yet, sometimes there are good reasons for making a special offer – read on for more.
A DROP IN THE OCEAN?
US citizens alone are expected to spend $148.5 billion on Black Friday and Cyber Monday this year, kicking off a season stretching till New Year’s Day during which 15% of the year’s total packages are delivered.
Much of this plastic packaging waste, and – eventually – many hastily-bought purchases themselves, contribute to the 8 million metric tons of plastic that end up in our oceans each year, destroying coral reefs and marine life. By 2050, it’s predicted that there will be more plastic than fish in the sea, as currently only 9% of all plastic produced is being recycled.
