challenging norms. The brand was founded in Switzerland in 2008 to question how things are designed, made and used. The result are functional everyday bags designed for circularity – made from plants instead of plastic.

Centring the creative process around material research enabled the development of Bananatex® – a
water resistant yet 100% biodegradable textile crafted from regeneratively grown banana plants. The material is openly available to any company that wants to replace plastics with plants. Being a certified B Corp, QWSTION cultivates collaboration for positive change.

 Based on its revolutionary material, QWSTION launched its first range of products consistently designed according to Cradle to Cradle principles in 2018, focusing on biological circularity. This allows materials to remain in cycles beyond their product life. An approach that influenced all new products since.

replaced with a closed-loop supply chain giving rise to design products and
systems that regenerate the planet and benefit its people. We’re proud that our
Cradle to Cradle Certified®, 100% biodegradable Bananatex® fabric made
from naturally cultivated abacá fibres fully expresses this circular vision.
